Do you dream of learning to find your way in the sky and using a telescope? So this activity is for you, whether you are a beginner or an experienced astronomer, alone or with your family (children from 10 years old).
After a night climb by funicular you will arrive at the observation site near the OFXB (2200m altitude). The facilitator in charge of the activity will give you the main optical principles underlying the operation of the telescope which you will then learn to handle.
These telescopes – 5 in number, i.e. a telescope for two people – are of the Dobsonian type: their very simple handling compared to traditional telescopes allows them to be used quickly, without any prior technical or scientific knowledge. The rest of the time will be devoted to discovering the starry sky and the celestial treasures it conceals.
You are in control of the 200mm telescope – which gives you the superpowers of a 200mm diameter eye, with the facilitator there to guide you. The observation evening ends with the return to the village of Saint-Luc by funicular
