Are you a sporty type with an appetite for risk or an off-piste skier? Do you want to try freeriding in a completely safe environment? The Grimentz-Zinal ski area in the Swiss Alps will enchant powder snow enthusiasts – adrenaline rush guaranteed!

Located in front of the most famous peaks of the Imperial Crown mountain range, over 4,000m high, the Grimentz-Zinal ski area will entice adventurers from all four corners of the globe. The “Garde de Bordon” freeride area covers no less than 100 hectares of unmarked slopes. Made up of steep slopes and vertiginous walls, it is entirely dedicated to extreme skiers and snowboarders. Located between 2,400m and 3,000m of altitude, it’s the perfect place for freeride lovers in the high mountains. The slopes are technical and reserved for seasoned skiers and snowboarders who want to explore demanding terrain and take in stunning views.
However, the freeride ski area is not secured and is only open when the avalanche risk is less than 3.
The Grimentz-Zinal freeride ski area in Val d’Anniviers is open during the winter season when the slopes are open, from 9am to 4pm, provided that the snow and safety conditions allow for it to be open.

Useful information

The practice of freeriding requires experience, a great deal of caution and suitable equipment. Various spots quickly become very technical, so please be careful not to explore the area if you're not familiar with it.
