Zinal > Sorebois by lift, then Sorebois to Grimentz on foot
Exit at Sorebois gondola middle station or at the Espace Weisshorn, if you want to walk less. From Sorebois (2438 m) the pass is about 1h20 uphill over the mountain pastures. You may be lucky enough to see some marmots. Once arrived at the col de Sorebois (2835 m), you will be able to admire the special colour of the Lac de Moiry. The descent to the dam takes about 1 hour. At the Moiry dam (2250 m), walk along its impressive walls and reach the path leading to Grimentz (1564 m and 1h40) along the Gougra river. This part of the trail is used every year in August by the amazing mountainbikers of the Grand Raid (Verbier-Grimentz) taking place every year in August.
