Sierre > Chandolin, Poste by bus, then St-Luc on foot via Chandolin
From the Tourist Office, take the path leading up behind the building. Keep left and follow the Route de Ponchèt. Continue on this 4x4 track; after about 45 minutes' walk, you'll see a sign on your right indicating "Illgraben". Take this path up to the Illgraben viewpoint, a geological site unique in Europe. From the viewpoint, continue on the path that climbs slightly to the right through the forest, then follow it to the arrival point of the Illhorn ski lift. From here, descend to the Illhorn hut, where you can enjoy a well-deserved break in this beautiful mountain hut. Then take the path to the left of the hut towards the Alpage de Plan Lozier, and follow the signposted path to Saint-Luc. Continue as far as the Pierre des Sauvages, where the descent to the village center begins. When you reach Saint-Luc, you'll come to the Place de la Marmotte, where you'll find the bakery and the Maison Bourgeoisiale. Turn right, walk down behind the Maison Bourgeoisiale and continue straight on until you reach the Tourist Office. Opposite, next to the parking lot, a staircase leads down to the Hôtel Le Beausite.
