From les Erables, follow the little road that goes up to the left, until you reach the start of the path, which is quite steep. It runs through a larch forest to the Lirec alpine pasture, then continues less steeply to the Barneusa aline pasture. From ther, it continues gently uphill to the Nava alpine pasture and the Hôtel Weisshorn.
Variant 1
Travel by bus to St-Luc, and then by funicular railway to Tignousa. From there, follow the Chemin des Planètes (Planets Trail) which takes you to the Hôtel Weisshorn in 1h30. Follow the path to Zinal. This itinerary means that, as you walk, you look towards the peaks that tower above the valley floor. The descent from the Lirec alpine pasture to Zinal is very steep (4h - average).
