| Useful information | From the car park, go back onto the road above, which passes in front of the Auberge Alpina. turn right onto the Route de Tracuit(Reka), and walk along it to the begining of the Chemin de la Cabane de Tracuit. Follo this path, which passes through the forest, then the alpine pasture, and finally the Col du Roc de la Vache. The route continues with a lovely view of the peaks and glaciers, and has no particular difficulties, other than the long upward climb. Once you reach the point called la Tour (2930m), with its little oratory, the remaining ascent to the Cabane de Tracuit is just 320 meters. |
