The first stage between the Cabane des Becs-de-Bosson and the Cabane de Moiry is sometimes flat, sometimes downhill. Change of scenery for the second part which leads to the Cabane de Moiry, with more physically challenging passages.
Useful information | From the Cabane des Becs-de-Bosson, the path goes down towards the Pas de Lona. From there, the route follows the path of the mountain bike race "Grand Raid". It passes near the Lac de Lona, and continues to the Basset de Lona. It then continues a long descent towards the Moiry dam. From the dam, take the path around the lake on the left bank. Once at the end of the lake, continue to the parking lot of the Glacier de Moiry, then follow the wide path that goes to the left (east side). This path turns into a small path that approaches the rocky walls of the Aiguilles de la Lé. Continue the ascent in a rocky terrain that joins the moraine ridge of the Glacier de Moiry. A little further on, caution is required when crossing the passage on the hillside, often covered with snow. Continue on the path that climbs in twists and turns, then cross the scree for about a hundred meters before reaching the hut. |
