Follow the surfaced road that goes down to the left between the apartment buildings. From the Chapelle du Trontsec, take the path to the river (the small wooden bridge is closed). Walk up to the cantonal road and follow this road towards Zinal for about 100 metres, then turn right onto the small path that goes into the wood, and walk along this path to Mottec.
Variant 1
Half-way between Grimentz and Mottec, you can walk to Ayer along the footpath that goes down to the river Navizence (Grimentz - Ayer: 1h30).
Variant 2
From Mottec, continue along the left bank of the Navizence to Zinal (30 minutes).
Variant 3
From Mottec, continue along the left bank of the Navizence to Zinal (30 minutes).
