The Vin du Glacier of the Val d’Anniviers, both mythical and rare, can trace its origins to the ancestral tradition of “remuage” (migration). It is aged in larch barrels in cool cellars, which are topped up according to their age each year. The oldest barrel has top priority, resulting in a blend of vintages. It is not unusual to sample “Vin du Glacier” which is over a century old, a testament to the exceptionality of this unique viticultural tradition in the Val d’Anniviers.
