First day of the Tour du Val d'Anniviers, starting from Sierre. The bus takes you along the road to the Val d'Anniviers. After some sharp bends and passing through the valley's canyons, you get off the bus at the Pontis stop, at the place called "Fribougze" (1001 m). After an hour of walking on a relatively steep slope, you'll discover a little piece of paradise: Soussillon (1388 m). From there, the climb continues to reach Chandolin (about 1h30). Walk through the old village of Chandolin, passing under the church and in front of the Ella Maillart Museum, then continue towards St-Luc (1655 m) by following the historic Chandolin / St-Luc path (about 1h30).
